Most beautiful places on Earth

Taj Mahal is considered one of the eight wonders, and some Western historians have argued that its architectural beauty has never been exceeded. Taj is the most beautiful monument built to the Mughals, the Muslim ruler of India. The Taj Mahal is built entirely with white marble. Its stunning architectural beauty is like an adequate description, particularly at dawn and dusk. The Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon. If it is a foggy morning, visitors experience the Taj as if suspended in view throughout the Jamuna river.

One of the most remarkable natural gifts in Australia is The Great Barrier Reef. It's the world's largest reef system, composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,600 kilometers over a large area. The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in north-east Australia. It can be seen from outer space and is the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms.

The city of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan is home to the magnificent artificial lake Lotus. The lake is a popular tourist destination known for its numerous temples and large statue of the Emperor of the Dark Heaven, a Taoist God. New Zealand's North Island is home to Mount Taranaki or Mount Egmont, a 2518 meter high active volcano. Its most recent activity was only 160 years ago. Mount Taranaki is the center of the Egmont National Park. The closest major city is New Plymouth, just north of the mountain, where all types of hotels and other accommodation can be found.

Bora Bora is a major international tourist destination, famous for its aqua-centric luxury resorts. Hotel Bora Bora built the first over-the-water bungalows on stilts over the lagoon and today, over-water bungalows are a standard feature of most Bora Bora resorts. The quality of those bungalows ranges from comparably cheap, basic accommodations to very luxurious - and expensive - places to stay.

Bryce Canyon lies in the southwestern part of Utah in the United States. It's an eroded natural amphitheater rather than a canyon. It's most notable features are its “hoodoos”;geological structures formed by harsh weather erosion caused by wind, ice and water. They can also enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Soča is a river that flows through western Slovenia. Its source lies in the Trenta Valley in the Julian Alps, at an elevation of around 1,100 metres. Due to its beautiful emerald green water, the river is marketed as "The Emerald Beauty". It is said to be one of the rare rivers in the world that retain such a colour throughout their length. The Soča river inspired a Slovenian poet Simon Gregorčič to write his best known poem; Soči.
